IGS GeboJagema Acquires ACH Solution
January 2026
IGS GeboJagema, a global healthcare mould maker based in the Netherlands, has announced two strategic acquisitions: ACH Solution, an Austrian specialist in silicone rubber injection moulds, including liquid silicone rubber (LSR) and high temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber (HTV), and the medical device operations of FRP, a UK-based rapid prototyping specialist. Together, the acquisitions significantly expand IGS GeboJagema's ability to serve medical device clients.
The acquisition of ACH Solution diversifies IGS GeboJagema's offering and opens doors to new segments of the healthcare market. Silicone rubber is increasingly popular in healthcare applications. Compared to natural rubber, it offers superior purity and cleanliness, as well as sustainability advantages. For clients already working with IGS GeboJagema, this means access to silicone rubber moulds with the same precision and service they are used to.
The acquisition of FRP enables IGS GeboJagema to support clients from the earliest concept stages through to full-scale production. It allows the company to apply its design for manufacturing expertise and to capture learnings starting from the prototyping stage onwards. These advantages translate into faster cycle times, lower mould costs, and smoother scale-up. The end-to-end approach also shortens the lead time for production tools.
“These acquisitions reflect our commitment to making life easier for our clients,” says Herman Rusch, CEO of IGS GeboJagema. “With ACH Solution, we're adding silicone rubber to our offering, allowing us to provide a complete range of mould solutions. And with FRP, we can now support clients from the very first prototype, setting their products up for manufacturing success from the start.”
Nick Osborn, Managing Director at FRP, calls the partnership a natural fit. “Our cultures and values are aligned: absolute precision, customer-obsessed, and people-focused. Combined with their industrialisation know-how, we can help OEMs develop better products faster.”
“Precision is everything in LSR and HTV. IGS GeboJagema is one of the few companies that truly understands that and speaks our language,” says Christian Hefner, CEO of ACH Solution. “That makes IGS GeboJagema the perfect partner to introduce our silicone rubber expertise to major healthcare OEMs.”
BC Partners, IGS GeboJagema's majority shareholder, views the acquisitions as an important milestone. “With ACH Solution and FRP, IGS GeboJagema is strengthening its position as the go-to partner for medical device manufacturers,” says Matthew Evans, Managing Director Private Equity at the investment firm.
ACH Solution, founded in 2010, is an Austrian specialist in silicone rubber toolmaking. As a development partner for OEMs bringing new products to market, the company combines all expertise in-house: from tool design and manufacturing to application engineering and quality management. ACH Solution operates with a team of over 90 professionals from its headquarters in Fischlham, Austria and its US presence in Sarasota, Florida.
FRP, founded in 2000, is a UK-based rapid manufacturing specialist with over two decades of experience serving the medical device industry. The company holds ISO 13485 certification and offers a range of capabilities including prototyping, CNC machining, injection moulding, and in-house CT scanning. The company’s medical devices team of 20 professionals operates from Wisbech.
IGS GeboJagema is a global leader in high-precision moulds for two key healthcare segments: medical devices and ophthalmic products. The company serves clients worldwide from its headquarters in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, and its US facility in Peachtree City, Georgia. The acquisitions follow the 2023 purchase of TerBeek Machine & Tool in the United States. IGS GeboJagema remains one of the last independent global toolmakers in the healthcare industry.
